Terms

The terms every Nusa account agrees to, including the rules for renters and for hosts.

DraftDraft: written from the product spec; the official text is being prepared by Nusa.

Draft of 2026-10-22

Your account

  1. Nusa is a marketplace for renting GPU machines by the hour to run open models, and for hosting your own. These terms are between you and Nusa (the operator). Continuing past the sign-in screen creates your account and means you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
  2. One account does both renting and hosting. You sign in with a provider offered on the sign-in screen (such as Google or GitHub) or with a link and a code sent to your email address; there is no password. Your account goes by one email address at a time: the one that was proved when it was created, or at a later sign-in.
  3. Keep the ways you sign in to yourself. What is done under your account counts as done by you, including rentals paid from its Credit and anything done with a rental’s Connect key.
  4. A new account may enter one invitation code, once, within 7 days of joining and before it rents. Nothing is promised for inviting anyone.

Credit and the trial allowance

  1. Credit is one balance: what you top up and what Nusa gives you. It pays for rentals and for nothing else. It can’t be withdrawn, and it can’t be transferred to another account.
  2. Topping up goes through a payment provider. If a top-up is later refunded or disputed with that provider, the amount is taken back from your Credit and shown in your transaction history.
  3. A refund of a rental goes back to your Credit, whatever the rental was paid with.
  4. Credit never pays for renting a machine that your own account hosts.
  5. The trial on Overview draws on a trial allowance of its own, separate from Credit. Its amount isn’t shown, it doesn’t reset or expire, and it pays for nothing but the trial. Once it is used up, the trial is over for that account.

Renting a machine

  1. Machines are priced by the hour, in whole hours, for at least one hour. A quote locks the machine’s hourly price for five minutes without reserving the machine. A rental you confirm while its quote is valid is charged the quoted total; after the quote expires, you get a new quote and confirm again. A later price change never changes a rental already paid for.
  2. Checkout shows the whole rental before you pay: the model, the machine, the duration and the total. Paying needs a signed-in account with enough Credit.
  3. What you get is the model you chose, running on the host’s machine through Nusa’s engine, in the Playground and through Connect with a key issued for that rental. You can switch to, or add, another model the machine can run. A rental runs until its end time and can’t be extended; nothing on the machine is kept after it ends.
  4. You can end a rental early. Access ends at once and the time left isn’t refunded. Every way to end a rental asks you to confirm first.
  5. Full refund if your rental ends unexpectedly: the whole rental goes back to your Credit, and the host isn’t paid for it. You are told that it ended unexpectedly, not what caused it. A brief connection drop that recovers isn’t an ending: the rental clock keeps running through it. More under Refunds in the docs.
  6. A rental is refunded at most once, however it ends.

Rules for renters

  1. On a rented machine you may only run the models Nusa provides, through Nusa’s engine. You can’t run code of your own on it, and you can’t reach the host’s files.
  2. Don’t use a rental for mining, to produce or serve illegal content, or for anything that damages the host’s machine, other people on Nusa, or Nusa itself. Keep your Connect key to yourself.
  3. If Nusa finds that a rental breaks these rules, Nusa can end that rental. It isn’t refunded, and the host is paid as normal. You are told why, and you can appeal through support if you believe it was a mistake. Only that rental ends; your account is otherwise unaffected.

Hosting a machine

  1. Before you get a setup key, you agree to the Nusa Hosting agreement by ticking its box. Nusa Node can be downloaded without a key, but a machine can’t be linked or listed without one. When the agreement changes, you agree to the new version before your next setup key.
  2. A machine is listed while Nusa Node is running and online and the machine passes Nusa’s checks: its hardware meets the requirements, its benchmark ran, and its sandbox could be confirmed. A machine that doesn’t pass isn’t listed.
  3. Renters only use Nusa’s models, through its sandboxed engine: no code of their own, no access to your files. You choose which models stay installed, and you may keep none; a renter’s model you don’t keep is installed for their rental within your space for models and removed when it ends. This uses your disk space and bandwidth.
  4. Don’t modify Nusa Node, and don’t fake benchmark results. Tampering ends your account.
  5. If you quit Nusa Node or your machine goes offline during a rental, the renter is refunded in full and you aren’t paid for that rental. If you believe your machine wasn’t at fault, ask for a review through support; the review decides whether you are paid, and you are emailed the result. A machine that drops offline repeatedly is taken off the market until it is steady again.
  6. You can stop taking rentals at any time, for a set time or until you resume; a rental under way finishes first, and stopping never counts against you. A machine can’t be removed while it is rented. When you remove one, your earnings stay, and its reliability record stays with the physical machine: it continues if the machine is set up again on your account, and starts over on another account.

Earnings, the platform fee and withdrawals

  1. Renters pay your hourly price. Nusa takes a platform fee from what you earn; it isn’t added to what renters pay. The fee is taken when a rental’s earnings are recorded, at the rate in force when that rental was confirmed, so a later change to the rate doesn’t touch a rental already confirmed. The rate now is shown where you set your price; at the date of this draft it is 25%.
  2. What you earn is money, also when the renter paid with Credit that Nusa gave them. Earnings are kept apart from Credit. They are Pending for a while after a rental ends, then Available; the hold of an earning is fixed when it is recorded. Available earnings can be moved into Credit, one way: they can’t be moved back.
  3. No withdrawals during Beta. Your earnings are recorded from the first rental and kept until withdrawing opens, with no date promised. Once it opens: at least $100 each time, once a day, after 300 hours of rentals that earned.
  4. Once withdrawing opens, a withdrawal gets a quote with its fee and net amount, valid for a limited time. Some withdrawals are held for review before they are sent: a first withdrawal, a large one, or one to a payout destination added or changed recently. A withdrawal that is rejected or returned goes back to your Earnings.
  5. You are responsible for reporting what you earn on Nusa as income, and for your own electricity costs. Nusa can’t give tax advice.
  6. Everyone who hosts on Nusa follows these rules. If they change, Nusa emails hosts before the change takes effect. More under What hosting earns in the docs.

Under review, and ending an account

  1. Nusa can put an account under review. The account can still sign in, but everything that would change it, its balances or its machines is blocked, and this is shown wherever the account is. To ask about a review, contact Nusa.
  2. A rental under way when an account is put under review ends. If it is the account’s own rental, it isn’t refunded. If it is on one of the account’s machines, the renter is refunded in full and the host isn’t paid.
  3. Tampering with Nusa Node or faking benchmark results ends your account.
  4. If your account is deleted, hashes of your machines’ hardware identifiers are kept, as the Privacy Policy says, and the account no longer counts among those your invitation link brought.

What Nusa is responsible for, in plain words

  1. Nusa is a marketplace, in Beta. The machines belong to the hosts who run them, and the models are open models provided as they are. Nusa doesn’t promise that a machine or a model is available at any given time, or that a model’s answers are accurate or fit for a purpose: check them before you rely on them.
  2. When a rental goes wrong, what Nusa owes the renter is the refund described under Renting a machine, and what it owes the host is what a review decides. Hosts are responsible for their machines; renters are responsible for what they do with a rental.

Changes to these terms

  1. Nusa may change these terms. The current version, with its date, is always on this page. A change to the rules for hosts is emailed to hosts before it takes effect.
  2. This draft is written from the product spec. When the official text is ready, it replaces this page.
