Draft. The final docs will be written from the product spec.

Refunds when a machine drops out

Full refund if your rental ends unexpectedly: the whole rental goes back to your Credit. If you end a rental yourself, the time left isn’t refunded.

If you quit Nusa Node or the machine goes offline mid-rental, the renter gets a full refund and you aren’t paid for it.

A machine can’t be removed while it’s rented. Pause it so no new rental starts, and remove it once the rental ends.

EXAMPLEYour machine drops offline 1h into a 4h rental: the renter is refunded and that rental isn't paid. Stopping rentals first would have let it finish.

What hosting earns

Renters pay your hourly price.

Nusa takes a platform fee from what you earn; it isn’t added to what renters pay. It applies during Beta too. It’s taken when a rental’s earnings are recorded, at the rate in force when that rental was confirmed, so a later change to the rate doesn’t change a rental already confirmed. The rate now, and what you keep per hour, are shown where you set your price.

What you earn is money, also when a renter paid with credit Nusa gave them.

Your earnings are kept apart from Credit. To rent with them, move them into Credit first; it can't be moved back.

Everyone who hosts on Nusa follows these rules. If anything changes, we email hosts before it takes effect.

You're responsible for reporting what you earn on Nusa as income, and for your own electricity costs. We can't give tax advice.

If a rental or an earning looks wrong, contact hosting support and tell us what you expected. Contact hosting support

What hardware can host

Nusa Node runs on Linux with an NVIDIA GPU (12 GB+ VRAM), or on an Apple silicon Mac (macOS 26.2 or later, 16 GB+). Windows isn't supported yet. Join the Windows waitlist

What renters can and can't do on your machine

Renters can only use the AI models Nusa provides, through Nusa's engine. They can't run their own code on your computer, and the engine runs in your system's sandbox, so it can't read your files. A machine whose sandbox Nusa can't confirm isn't listed.

Don't modify Nusa Node or fake your benchmark results: tampering ends your account.

Setup keys

Before Nusa gives you a setup key, you tick a box to agree to the Nusa Hosting agreement. Nusa Node can be downloaded without one, but a machine can't be linked or listed without a key. The agreement's full text is still being written.

Disk space and models

You choose which models stay installed on your machine. A renter’s model that you don’t keep — only from the models Nusa provides — is installed for their rental, within the space for models you set, and removed when it ends.

Stopping rentals

Your machine is listed while Nusa Node is running and online. Nusa Node starts with your computer, so a restart doesn’t unlist it; turn that off in its settings.

Need your computer back? Stop taking rentals for 1 hour, 4 hours or 24 hours, or until you resume. If someone is renting, their rental finishes first and no new one starts. Stopping never counts against you, and a restart doesn't undo it.

If it drops offline several times in a short while, it's taken off the market until it's steady again, then listed again by itself. Your earnings stay yours.

A machine can’t be removed while it’s rented: pause it so no new rental starts, and remove it once the rental ends. Your earnings stay; Pending earnings become Available once their hold clears. The machine’s reliability record stays with the physical machine. Paired again on your account, after a reinstall for example, it continues from that record rather than starting over. Paired on another account, it starts over as a new machine: that record neither helps nor holds it down, and its rentals there never change it.

Pending and Available earnings

Earnings are Pending for a while after a rental ends, and then they're Available.

Withdrawing

You can't withdraw during Beta: your earnings are recorded from the first rental and kept, and withdrawing opens after Beta. Once it opens: at least $100 each time, once a day, after 300 hours of rentals that earned.
